Sargento CEO Elected to Lakeside Board of Directors
Manitowoc, WI (July 14, 2020) – At their recent annual meeting, Lakeside Foods shareholders elected Louis (Louie) Gentine II to the company’s Board of Directors. With his election, Gentine is one of three non-family members on Lakeside’s nine-member board.
Gentine brings two decades of experience in the food industry as well as leadership in a family-owned company. He is CEO and a third-generation family member of Sargento Foods, a leading manufacturer and marketer of shredded, sliced and snack natural cheese products. Gentine became CEO in 2013, after holding numerous leadership roles within the company since 2000. He has a bachelor’s degree in finance from Notre Dame and a master’s degree in business administration from Loyola University-Chicago.
In addition to serving on the Lakeside board, Gentine is on the board of the International Dairy Foods Association, Consumer Brands Association, and Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce. He also serves as president of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul store in Plymouth and is co-chair of the 2020-2021 Sheboygan County United Way campaign.
Other members re-elected to the Lakeside Board of Directors at the recent meeting include; Peter Deschler, Jim Ferguson, Betsy Blitz Kocourek, Jeff Lund, Doug Quick, Glen Tellock, Hank White and Dave Yanda.
