Lakeside Foods has been notified by PL Buyer Magazine that we have been selected as the
Best Supplier in the industry in both the Canned Vegetable category and the Frozen
Vegetable category. This is the third time Lakeside has been honored with this award.PL
Buyer Magazine conducts a poll annually wherby all major food retailers and wholesalers
nationally are asked to choose the best private label suppliers they have in each major
category of their private label program. The Category Colonel award was created six years
ago to acknowledge these top suppliers recognized by their customers as the Best in Class.
Lakeside is 100% dedicated to the private label, store brand business. Our customers
understand that by working with us, we can help them to grow their private label market
share by providing product quality that will consistently meet or exceed any other brands
in the marketplace. This has contributed to consumer confidence throughout our customers'
entire store brand programs.
Having the product when and where it is required is another reason Lakeside customers
can rest easy knowing we view their brand as our only presence in the marketplace.
Therefore, we will always do everything we can to be sure product is available at all
times.
In addition to the Category Colonel awards, Lakeside also received special recognition
from SYSCO, Kroger, and Topco in the past year.
Lakeside was recognized as one of SYSCO's top suppliers at an awards ceremony in
Houston on October 24, 2005. Lakeside was one of 100 suppliers to receive this award from
over 12,000 companies with whom SYSCO purchases products and services across the world.
SYSCO is the largest foodservice distributor in the United States.
On April 11, 2006, Lakeside received the Kroger "Supplier of the Year" award.
The Kroger Company is the 2nd largest food retailer in the nation operating 2,483 grocery
stores in 31 states.
Finally, in June Lakeside received the "Supplier of the Year" award from
Topco Associates, the largest buying co-op in the nation with members who operate more
than 14,000 stores.
We believe we are the best solution for all of our customers' private label vegetable
