To Our Valued Customers:
We are pleased to announce that on May 27, 2003 Seneca Foods has completed
our acquisition of Chiquita Processed Foods, Division of Chiquita Brands International.
Before the end of June, Seneca Foods expects to complete the sale of
several former Chiquita Processed Foods facilities to Lakeside Foods.
Our goal during the transition from Chiquita to Seneca and Lakeside is to
make customer service and the flow of orders as seamless as possible. To accomplish this,
we are asking that from May 27, 2003 through June 30, 2003, you continue submitting orders
to Chiquita Processed Foods as you normally would. As we get closer to the actual
Seneca-Lakeside transaction date, we will again notify you and give you an effective date
for discontinuing sending orders to Chiquita Processed Foods, and to begin sending orders
at your choice, directly to either Seneca Foods or Lakeside Foods.
