Since its
acquisition in 1988, the Random Lake Plant has undergone significant change. Originally a
canning facility, the multi-million dollar addition of two major IQF tunnel freezers and
peripheral equipment has converted the Plant into a major frozen vegetable center. Random
Lake has the capacity and versatility to support full production of peas and corn
simultaneously. The Plant is supported by a modern fleet of pod
stripper pea combines and 6-row corn harvesters. This harvesting equipment is maintained
in a modern agricultural shop adjacent to the Random Lake Plant.
The Plant is proud of its strong safety record, and it has received
numerous awards. Additionally, it has been cited for its environmental record with an
extensive program of reduced electrical and water utilization. |
