Manitowoc, WI December 1, 2007 --
Lakeside Foods, Inc. was named one of Sysco Foodservice’s Top 100 Suppliers at Sysco’s Supplier Recognition Event in Houston, TX on October 18, 2007. The event was held at Hilton Americas Hotel. Doug Quick, Chairman and CEO and Mark Leibham, Frozen Sales Manager, were present to receive the award from Sysco’s Chariman, CEO and President along with the entire management team honoring Lakeside and their partnership with Sysco.
The 2006 Supplier Recognition Awards Ceremony recipients were selected from a group of more than 2,000 eligible suppliers located across the world. All finalists were selected based on input from Sysco’s broadline distribution companies in the United States and Canada and the company’s corporate merchandising services and supply chain services departments.
Lakeside Foods, founded in 1887, is a privately held, leading international food processor. It has headquarters in Manitowoc, WI, fifteen plants and eight distribution centers in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Ohio, and employs an average of 1700 people. Lakeside produces a diverse line of nutritional food products including canned and frozen vegetables, canned dry beans (kidney, black, pork & beans, etc.), shelf stable meals, canned meats, organic products, health beverage supplements, non-dairy frozen dessert toppings, self-heating products, salsa and other sauces.
