RE:  Al Simanovski promoted to General Manager, Belgium Plant

Manitowoc, WI  May 17, 2004 --

Al Simanovski has been promoted to General Manager of Lakeside Foods' Belgium, WI facility. In this capacity, he will be responsible for all vegetable and contract operations including acquisition of raw materials, product processing, warehousing, quality assurance, safety, human resources, and shipping.

Al joined Lakeside in 1986, working in a seasonal capacity in the company's Plainview, MN facility. He was promoted to Sanitation Supervisor in Plainview's Contract Operations Plant in 1988, Production Supervisor in Plainview's Contract Operations Plant in 1990, Production Manager in Manitowoc's Contract Operations in 1995, and Warehouse Manager in Plainview's Vegetable Operations in 1996, the position he held prior to his recent promotion.

He completed Better Process School through the University of Minnesota and is enrolled in the Business Management Program at Lakeshore Technical College. He is a member of Belgium's Chamber of Commerce and previously served as a Plainview, MN city council member. Al, his wife Linda, and children Anthony, Lucas, and Aaron live in Cascade, WI.
