RE:  Lakeside Foods announces promotions at Manitowoc Plant and Manitowoc Distribution Center

Manitowoc, WI  June 30, 2004 --

Lakeside Foods announces the following promotions:

Jim Anderson has been promoted to General Manager of Lakeside Foods' Manitowoc Plant. In this capacity he will be responsible for all canned and frozen operations.

In 1986, Jim joined Lakeside as Assistant Warehouse Manager in Plainview, MN. He was promoted to Frozen Warehouse Manager in Plainview in 1986 and General Manager of Lakeside's Manitowoc Distribution Center in 1989, the position he held prior to his promotion.

Jim received a B.A. in Business Administration from Winona State University. He and his wife, Kaye, and children, Amanda and Brandon, live in Manitowoc.

Mark Driedric has been promoted to General Manager of Lakeside Foods' Manitowoc Distribution Center. In this capacity, he will be responsible for all canned labeling and frozen production operations.

Mark joined Lakeside in 1990 as Contract Operations Superintendent at the Manitowoc Plant. He was promoted in 1994 to Operations Manager at the Plant, the position he held prior to his promotion. Before joining Lakeside, he was employed by Rich Products as a production supervisor and Red Owl Stores, Inc. in various management positions.

Mark received a B.S. degree in Business Administration with a major in Management from Northern Michigan University and an MBA from Cardinal Stritch University. He and his wife, Cathy, live in Manitowoc. They have three grown children and three grandchildren.

Joe Holschbach was promoted to Manager, Operations at Lakeside Foods' Manitowoc Plant. In this capacity, he will be responsible for all canned and frozen vegetable processing.

Joe joined Lakeside in 1975 as a Maintenance Mechanic at the Manitowoc Plant. He was promoted to Supervisor in 1980, the position he held prior to his recent promotion.

Joe is a graduate of Roncalli High School. He received his Journeyman Card as a Maintenance Mechanic from Moraine Technical College. He is an active member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Whitelaw, WI. He and his wife, Kay, have three children and live in Whitelaw.
