Manitowoc, WI August 20, 2003 --Jim Schwarzhoff and Bruce
"Jake" Jacobson have been promoted to Director, Operations for Lakeside Foods.
In their new capacities, Jim will be responsible for western operations (Brooten,
Owatonna, Plainview, Minnesota, and New Richmond, Wisconsin) and Bruce for eastern
operations (Belgium, Eden, Manitowoc, Random Lake, Reedsburg, and Seymour, Wisconsin).
They will be responsible for all vegetable and contract operations within their regions.

| Jim joined Lakeside in 1979 as Assistant Plant Superintendent
at Plainview, Minnesota and progressed through various operations management positions,
his most recent being Group Operations Manager. Prior to joining Lakeside, he was employed
in food production positions with Becker Foods, Kroger Co., and Whitehall Packing Company. |

Jim received a B.S. Degree in Meat Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and
attended Marquette University where he undertook post graduate work in production
management. His community involvements include the Lions Club and Manitowoc Youth Hockey
Association. Jim and his wife, Marilyn, have recently relocated to Owatonna, MN. They have
three grown children.

Jake joined Lakeside in 1988 as General Manager, Contract Operations at Plainview. He was
promoted to General Manager at the Belgium facility in 1997, the position he held prior to
his promotion. Before joining Lakeside, he was employed in various production management
positions by Cooks Family Foods. |
| Jake received his B.S. Degree in Political
Science and History from Missouri Western State College in St. Joseph, MO. He and his
wife, Linda, live in Oostburg, WI. They have 2 children who are attending college. |
