RE:  Lakeside announces promotions at Plainview Plant

Manitowoc, WI  August 23, 2004 --

Jim Hoekstra has been promoted to Warehouse Manager and Jeff Prigge has been promoted to Assistant Warehouse Manager at Lakeside Foods' Plainview facility. Jim will be responsible for all labor, material, and work performed necessary to promote an efficient and prosperous warehouse. Jeff will assist Jim in warehouse management and assume responsiblity for warehouse operations in Jim's absence.

Jim Hoekstra joined Lakeside in a seasonal capacity in 1974. He was hired into a full-time position on the Warehouse label line in 1978, promoted to Warehouse Supervisor in 1990 and Assistant Warehouse Manager in 1997, the position he held prior to his promotion.

Jim attended Rochester Community College. He and his wife, Penny, have five children, Michael (26), Emilee (19), Hannah (16), Olivia (14), and Samuel (12). Jim, Penny, and their three youngest children live in Plainview.

Jeff Prigge joined Lakeside in 1986 as a Frozen Line Operator. He was promoted to Frozen Warehouse Supervisor in 2001, the position he held prior to his recent promotion.

Jeff is attending Rochester Community College where he is majoring in Supervisory Management. He lives in Plainview and has four children, Brook (24), Jeff Jr. (23), Lisa (17), and Joshua (1).
