Manitowoc, WI September 16, 2003 --Lakeside Foods expands its Processed
Foods Sales Department with the hiring of Bruce Lundmark, Jim Peirson, and Sherry Smith.

| Bruce Lundmark was named Sales Manager, Food
Service Sales. In this capacity, he will provide for the sales of all processed products
to the Food Service market. Bruce comes to Lakeside after over 30 years of sales and
customer service experience with Chiquita Processed Foods (formerly Friday Canning
Company). His most recent position was as Chiquita's Director of Food Service Sales. Bruce
attended the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire and served in the U.S. Army's Armored
Calvary Division in Viet Nam. He is a member of the American Legion, treasurer of the
Canned Vegetable Council, and president of the Pleezing Manufacturers Association. Bruce
and his wife Cindy live in Amery, Wisconsin and have two grown children. |

Jim Peirson was named Sales Manager, National Retail Food Sales. In this capacity, he will
provide leadership in Lakeside Foods Retail processed products across the country. Jim
joins Lakeside from Chiquita Processed Foods (formerly Friday Canning Company), where he
served in a number of progressive sales positions, most recently as National Accounts
Manager. He holds a bachelors degree from the University of Wisconsin - Stout with a major
in business administration. Jim is currently Vice President of the Canned Vegetable
Council, is active in the First Lutheran Church and Red Cross Hero's Program. In the past,
he has been a member of and on the New Richmond School Board and CESA 11 Board of Control.
He and his wife, Bev, along with their daughters Katie and Kari, reside in New Richmond,
Wisconsin.

| Sherry Smith was
named National Account Executive. In this capacity, she will be a direct sales contact for
Retail customers. Sherri's background includes extensive customer service and sales
experience with Chiquita Processed Foods (formerly Friday Canning Company), her last
position being Account Executive. She is a graduate of Wisconsin Indianhead Technical
College with a degree in business administration. Sherri has been active in the community
through Cub Scouts, Youth Soccer, and the First Lutheran Church. She and her husband, Jay,
and their two children, Jake and Madeline, live in Clear Lake, Wisconsin. |
