Manitowoc, WI August 5, 2005 --
Jim Schwarzhoff has been promoted to Vice President - Operations at Lakeside Foods'
Corporate Office. In this capacity, he is a member of the Senior Management Team and is
responsible for the company's production and warehouse program, including acquisition of
raw product, processing, warehousing, labeling, and shipping.Jim joined Lakeside in
1979 as Night Supervisor in the Plainview, MN facility. He was promoted to Plainview's
Manager of Contract Operations in 1980, and General Manager in 1986. In 1988 he was
promoted to Assistant Director of Operations at the Corporate Office in Manitowoc, and
Director of Western Operations in 2003, the position he held prior to his current
assignment. Before joining Lakeside, he served in various production management, quality
assurance, and industrial engineering positions with Becker Foods, Kroger Company, and
Whitehall Packing Company.
Jim received a B.S. in Meat Science from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. He is
an active member of the Midwest Food Processors Association and has been involved with the
Lions Club, Manitowoc Youth Hockey, and Plainview Area Development Council.
Jim and his wife, Marilyn, will be relocating to Manitowoc. They have three grown
children, two daughters-in-law, and three grandchildren. |
