Manitowoc, WI January 12, 2006 --
Pete Simon has been named General Manager at Lakeside Foods' Owatonna, MN facility. In
this capacity, he will be responsible for all aspects of Owatonna operations, including
agriculture, processing, warehousing, labeling, shipping, quality control, accounting, and
human resources.Pete joined Lakeside in 1978 serving as a mechanic in Plainview, MN. He
was promoted to Production Supervisor in 1979, Assistant Operations Manager in 1982, and
Warehouse Manager in 1983. In 1990 he was promoted to General Manager at Lakeside's Random
Lake plant, the position he held prior to his most recent promotion.
Pete is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Better Process School and the Dale
Carnegie program. He serves on the Midwest Food Processors Association Environmental
Committee. He and his wife, Theresa, live in Owatonna. They have five grown children. |
