  • An average household of four people uses 68,000 gallons of water yearly. Lakeside's Plants use 520,000,000 gallons: same as a community of 30,600 people or 7,650 houses.

  • Lakeside's total electrical usage is 36,000,000 kilowatt hours. The average household uses 6,400 kilowatt hours per year.    Our usage could keep a community of 22,500 in electricity for a year.

  • Lakeside consumes 438,000,000 cubic feet of natural gas, whereas a normal household uses 100,000 cubic feet. This would compare to a community of 14,600 people.

  • SWEET CORN FACTS

    • There is an average of 3,000 ears of sweet corn in a ton.

    • There is an average of 800 kernels on one ear of corn.

    • 3 1/4 ears of corn must be cut in order to make one can of corn.

    • 21,000 seeds of corn are planted per acre.

  • PEA FACTS

    • There are 450 to 500 peas in a can...

    • There are between 14,000 to 15,000 slicer style carrots in a ton.

    • 25 to 30 slices are obtained from each carrot.

    • There are an average of 110 carrot slices per can.

    • There is an average of 15 to 20 beans on each plant.

    • 40 to 45 beans are used to fill one can of cut beans.
