Lakeside Foods Named Winner of Community Relations/Community Involvement Award

Lakeside Foods was named winner of the Community Relations/Community Involvement Award by Progressive Grocer's Store Brands magazine in its October 2011 edition.

Citing Lakeside's long-standing support to many charitable organizations, especially those focused on feeding the hungry, the award recognizes Lakeside's spirit of giving back to the community in each of the company's locations.

"We're a company that not only focuses on our customers' needs but also recognizes and helps to deal with the needs of those in our communities," said Janice Scott, the Belgium location's warehouse manager and organizer of a donation that sent over 1900 cases of green beans to earthquake victims in Haiti.
