Spring Fling Cooking Challenge at
Lakeside Foods

Manitowoc, WI  April 23, 2007 --

Spring is here. At least it is for the folks at Lakeside Foods' Corporate Office where they recently celebrated the end of winter by creating a meal comprised of Lakeside products.

This was just the latest in a number of "Spring Flings" at the Corporate Office over the past several years. In addition to celebrating the arrival of spring, these sessions emphasize the benefits and fun of teamwork by engaging in activities that focus on getting something done, with friendly competition to add "spice" to the event.

This year, teams were challenged to create a dish utilizing Lakeside products. All items were placed on a buffet line where everyone could sample from all entries. Recipes for the event will form the basis for an upcoming cookbook featuring Lakeside products. Winners of this year's Fling were the Texas Tornadoes, whose feature entree, Texas Caviar, spotlighted Lakeside black-eyed peas, pinto beans, black beans, and white and yellow corn.

Teamwork at Lakeside produces good food. This is true not only for the Corporate group who enjoyed this year's Spring Fling but for all of the company's customers who have grown to depend on Lakeside for quality products at an affordable price.
