Lakeside Foods continues its strategic growth beyond the Midwest and Great Lakes region, marking one year since its acquisition of Smith Frozen Foods’ operations in Oregon. This move significantly expands its national presence into the Pacific Northwest. Less than a year after acquiring the Oregon-based frozen vegetable manufacturer, the company successfully completed its first harvest and pack in Oregon this fall.
This first harvest and pack marks a significant step in Lakeside Foods’ long-term expansion strategy, demonstrating the company’s ability to leverage its century-plus of expertise in growing, harvesting, and processing vegetables in a new region while strengthening its ability to serve customers nationwide.
The Pacific Northwest provides incredible agricultural opportunities, and this expansion enhances our capacity and geographic reach. It positions Lakeside Foods to better support our retail private label, foodservice, and industrial partners with high-quality frozen vegetables grown, harvested, and packed on the West Coast.
By expanding its footprint beyond its deep Midwest roots following the acquisition of Smith Frozen Foods, Lakeside Foods continues to invest in infrastructure, regional supply chains, and innovation, ensuring long-term value and reliability for customers nationwide.
